Audi Boss Confirms Q3 Vail Concept for Detroit Show, Says More Models are Coming

The first and second place in the U.S. premium segment may belong to the Germans for 2011, but while BMW and Mercedes-Benz are at the top, Audi couldn’t manage anything better than seventh place, with less than half deliveries of its rivals. Clearly, this is far from ideal for the Ingolstadt-based carmaker since the U.S. remains the number one market for premium brands. Furthermore, Audi, which is the segment leader both in Western Europe and China, wants to overtake BMW as the number one premium brand worldwide by 2015.
That’s why Audi plans to introduce more models in the U.S. market. It will start from next week’s Detroit Motor Show where it will reveal a new concept version of its Q3 crossover named “Vail”, and will follow up with a sedan version of the third-generation A3.
“The next pillar of the market that we have to conquer is the United States”, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler told Bloomberg News. “We see opportunities in the SUV and sedan segments”, he added.
Stadler also re-confirmed plans to resurrect the A2 premium compact, the first generation of which was discontinued after failing to meet its targets.
Moreover, despite beginning U.S. production in 2015, long after its rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Stadler said that Audi would follow their example and look into assembling SUVs and sedans at its U.S. plant.

The Car Of Paris Hilton Is Also A Benz McLaren

Car Of Britney Spears : A Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

This is my very first post on this blog and im going to start off with the pop-princess gone bad. With the kind of money that she has been making in the last decade, its not very hard to imagine what girls like her drive.

She has been known to drive alot of GREAT cars, take note, GREAT cars! Well, this one is not an exception to that. The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a rear-wheel-drive 5.5L supercharged V8 beast that can do 0-100 kph (0-60 mph) in 3.6 seconds. Very toxic indeed! It costs over $400,000 US. Not as much wow factor as the original McLaren F1 road car, but still quite tidy.

Doesnt this one look too wallpaper-ish? Well, dont get too surprised. There are actually people who owns them even in saudi arabia (damn thos oil-diggers!). Just keep on coming back for more of Celebrities Cars.

Bajaj Lite: Bajaj's Small Car

While the launch of the Tata People's car approaches, Bajaj has surprised by unveiling it own cheap passenger car, the 4 seater Bajaj Lite concept, 2 days before the Auto Expo 2008 opens.

Take a look at the picture here. Not a bad looker at all, especially the lights and bumper - some might even say it looks better than the Zen Estilo. However, remember that this is a concept vehicle - the actual Bajaj Lite might look very different indeed.

Launch date is expected to be a couple of years down the line - so no, we are not going to see Bajaj's small car battling it out with Tata's small car on the streets of India. Expected fuel efficiency of the Bajaj Lite is 35 kmpl. That is higher than the rumoured fuel efficiency of the Tata small car which is 25 kmpl. The Tata small car is expected to cost Rs 1.25 lakhs - when it is out on the streets. That day is not too far away. But the Bajaj car is gonna be a long time coming.

Bajaj Auto expects to launch its small car in the next four years in partnership with Renault and Nissan. They are developing both diesel and petrol engines. Bajaj Auto will also be setting up a new manufacturing unit in Chakan that will manufacture the small car and light commercial vehicle. Bajaj has done away with the center panel and placed the two front seats touching each other. The gear shaft has been mounted on the dashboard.

Well will a two wheeler manufacturing company be able to succeed with their ambition with cars? Well they used to say the same about the Truck manufacturers Tata's.
