WILD DUCKS GATHERING

I have not seen anything like it before, many wild ducks and some herons gathering on the edge of the Dam, near our house, last friday. Quickly we took thoses photos. It's been raining and cloudy here for the last few days, so these pictures are not so good, but it gives you all an idea of this amazing scene!

TOUCANS: FAVORITE PICTURES

TOUCANS IN MY GARDEN

Today I start posting some of my favorite pictures. Today will be about Toucans that had visited my garden in 2006.

The Toco Toucan (Ramphastos toco) is the best known and largest member of the toucan family. They live in South American rainforests and Cerrado savannah. Toucans get their name from ‘tucano’ given to them by the Tupi Indians of Brazil. The largest species, the Toco Toucan, is about 25 inches (64 cm) long.

Here you can hear their sound.

WALKING AROUND MY NEIGHBORHOOD

Atualização para participar do Ecological Day, hospedado pelo blog Caliandra do Cerrado

There is not much interesting going on these days. I just don't have much to post and nothing worth mentioning... So, today I post some photos from our everyday walking around. I hope I don't bore you all too much with those photos, because I guess you had been seeing those landscapes many times... I need so much alternative views and to see others horizons for a change....
