VW Itaaly design Into the Future with the Brivido Concept

It's been close to two years since the Volkswagen Group took a 90.1 per cent stake in Italdesign Giugiaro and exactly one year after the Italian company celebrated the marriage with the VW-branded Tex Coupe and Go! MPV concepts at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The design house will return to Switzerland for this year's edition of the auto salon with a single concept model named the Brivido, which may not feature VW's logos on its hood, but its underpinnings and hybrid powertrain are sourced from within the German group.
"2012 will be an important year for us and for the Group, and with this car we want to continue to allow people to dream and to imagine the future," said Giorgetto Giugiaro. "This is an exercise to show a vehicle that delivers awesome sports car performance in an eco-friendly manner, to show great technological content, and above all to have superb comfort," he added.
The Brivido is a fully working concept model designed, engineered and manufactured in the Italdesign Giugiaro plant at Moncalieri.
It sports a hybrid powertrain comprising a 3.0-liter engine and presumably an electric motor (the company didn't elaborate) producing 360-horses, which allow the gullwing-door coupe to reach 100km/h (62mph) in 5.8 seconds and attain a top speed of 275km/h (171mph).
On the outside, the Brivido is defined by the use of aluminium, carbon fibre, and glass materials.
Inside, the four-seater prototype gets an impressive looking dashboard with interactive electronics and displays that were developed by Italdesign in cooperation with the Volkswagen Group Electronics Research Lab (ERL) in California.
Both the driver and passenger get their own instrument panels. On the driver's side, there are two LCD screens that display images from the side and rear cameras while the passenger side houses an integrated iPad system.

Pininfarina Cambiano Concept is a Classic GT Coupe on One Sid

The first official photos of Pininfarina's Cambiano concept car are out in the open ahead of its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show thanks to the folks over at Italian car magazine Quattroruote. When Pininfarina first announced the Cambiano, it made word of a sedan model but the teaser pictures that followed clearly showed a two-door coupe. As it turns out, the Cambiano study is both a coupe and a sports sedan.
To elaborate, on the driver's side, the concept has one large door while on the passenger's side Pininfarina opted for a suicide door solution and also eliminated the center pillar to afford better entry and exit to all seating positions.
The sleek design of the exterior, which was inspired by Pininfarina's 1957 Lancia Florida II, is matched by a minimalistic interior with seating for four, while other highlights include the glass roof and wood trimmed floors.
The GT model measures a little over five meters in length (196.9-in.) and 2 meters in width (78.7-in.), while it tips the scales at 1,700kg (3,748 pounds). It is a range extended electric vehicle with power coming from four 60kw (80hp) electric motors, one for each wheel. A diesel turbine engine located up front works like a generator to recharge the batteries.
According to Pininfarina, the Cambiano accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 275km/h (186mph). It's batteries offer a driving range in excess of 200km.

The exterior featuring an aggressive style. This is shown in bold lines on the hood, fenders and body side. Also this car is equipped with front and rear fog lights. Hyundai Eon has dimensions of 3495mm length, width 1550 mm and height 1,500 mm and wheelbase of 2380 mm and weighs 772 kg.

The interior of the cabin will be decorated with colors that add features two modern impression on this car. In addition there are also safety features inside the air bag (kanting air), power steering, central locking, power windows on the front.

The Hyundai Eon is powered by a 0.8 liter iRDE engine that raises 56PS and 76.5Nm of torque. The ARAI approved fuel efficiency figure is 21.1kmpl. A total of six variants (D-LITE, D-LITE (O), Era, Magna, Magna (O) and Sportz) make it a comprehensive lineup with the top-end model (Sportz) getting features like driver side airbag, power and tilt steering, central locking, audio system with radio, CD, MP3, USB and iPod connectivity features, and front power windows. It is offered in six colors.

The price of Hyundai Eon is not more than $6000.

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Reviews & Pictures

Maybe to debut at the 2012 Detroit Autoshow, the newest korean automaker SUV, the 2013 Santa Fe, was caught for the first time in Europe, at the Hyundai-Kia European Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany. And All will be revealed when the 2013 Santa Fe makes its debut in Frankfurt next month, with the North American market getting their first look at the Los Angeles Auto Show this coming November.

2013 Santa Fe this model testing under heavy camouflage, but rumors thus far suggest that the new Santa Fe will get its design inspiration from models like the i40 Wagon, making the new SUV look more dynamic. Expect to see massive wheel arches, slanting and elongated front and rear lights, a new grille, and a polygonal sloping roof.

We had few gripes about the previous Santa Fe’s interior except that, like the sheetmetal, it boasted all the style of a brown paper bag. Consider the problem rectified with a thoroughly modern interior that adopts the Sonata’s hourglass-shaped center stack and futuristic styling theme. Expect a similar level of equipment, as well as some newfound niceties.

The current model is offered with one engine as a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with an output of 174 hp and 197 hp diesel engine displacement of 2.2 liters. For the new model, Hyundai will offer more power in a pair of four-cylinder engines.

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe will go on sale later in 2012. Prices will be announced at a later date.
